Housing thousands of creatures, Museum of Natural History showcases the unique wildlife of Angola. The first-floor exhibition focuses on mammals, birds, and reptiles, detailing the region's rich variety that can be found to this day, including the giant sable antelope which is unique to Angola. Walk the insect corridor and make your way to the second exhibition hall which houses fish and marine life, including shells used as currency in the past. A vegetation exhibition shows off carnivorous plants that can live to be 2,000 years old. I've been there with my 5 year old son, and we really enjoyed the show. There is a part dedicated to aquatic life and another one for land animals living in Angola. Each animal has a corresponding card with its natural specificities of diet and way of living. The collection of animals is quite, from squeletons to complete animals. There is also a collection of rocks and a special part dedicated to the Palanca Negra. Just go if you are not afraid of taxidermia...
Old but in excellent condition.
