Climb to the top of the 523 m (1,716 ft) mountain summit as you trek through lush green rainforest at Sage Mountain National Park. The national park, established in 1994, covers approximately 96 acres (39 ha), and provides visitors with twelve marked trails. Follow the Mahogany Forest trail, which leads to the top of Mount Sage. Or, hike across the Henry Adams trail, which will take you to the best preserved parts of the forest. As you make your way through the nature reserve, find plant life such as mahogany trees, elephant ear vines, fig trees, and white cedar trees. Local animal life includes hermit crabs, red-tailed hawks, mountain doves, and pearly-eyed thrashers.   • My name is Sage so this is slightly biased but this was an awesome hike. Not very long bud id reccomend some decent shoes because a couple parts are a little slippery. Beautiful veiw at the end.
