Pailon del Diablo (Devil's Cauldron), Banos

4.8
Plunging water makes quite a spectacle at Pailon del Diablo (Devil's Cauldron), located on Ecuador's "ruta de las cascadas," the waterfall route along the Rio Verde river. The thunderous waterfall draws avid photographers to this misty natural area, known for its lush cloud forest vegetation and varied wildlife. To reach the suspension bridge offering arguably the best views of the crashing water, visitors must climb a steep and slippery path. For a lower-level view of the waterfall, you can stand on the stone steps carved into the vertical cliff. Wear slip-resistant shoes and bring a rain jacket. • From the excursion of the waterfalls this phenomenon of nature is the best. The majesty of this drop of water is impressive. It is one of the most beautiful things I have seen in my life and I think Ecuador knows how to take advantage of its natural attractions. All very well organized.

  • If you are in Ecuador be sure to know Baños the city is a small find, it is beautiful, for those who enjoy nature is a full dish. To get to Paylon is very easy. In the city there are dozens of agencies that take you to the waterfall , it is super cheap (just ask before about the entry q you need to pay to enter, which ñ is included in the price) and you still know other nearby waterfalls, usually take you in a kind of open busão ,you can easily go biclicleta (Can rent)car, have a people who go on foot. The waterfall is beautiful, you go through a bridge that looks like it will fall, the look is very beautiful pity that is crowded with people but ... place is touristy right people.
