The museum has been at its present location since 1946, although its existence was established long before then by a governmental decree in 1898. • Excellent museum with a lot of stuff to see, courtyard with impressive estelas, the best I've seen so far. You can spend a couple of hours or a whole day there! Highly recommend it.
  • They need to put more effort into developing this museum. I feel like they were either underfunded or not interested in improving the museum. Entrance fee for foreigners is extremely expensive. The local folks only pay 5q, but foreigners pay 60q. The white LED lighting is more appropriate for a jewelry shop, but in the museum can make everything dull. Arrangement of artifacts is not in any organized way.
