Walk of the Gods, Positano

#10 of 24 in Outdoors in Positano
Outdoor Activity · Hidden Gem
Experience a softer side of the dramatic Amalfi Coast by taking Walk of the Gods. Carved into the cliffs high above the sea, the famous trail connects tiny hilltop town of Agerola with Nocelle. The constantly changing landscape and gorgeous views of the deep blue sea and coastal towns below make this gently downhill route worthy of its name. Originally carved out by Greek settlers in the 8th century B.C.E., the moderately difficult hike takes three hours and leads past terraced farmland and centuries-old grottos. Note that some sections of the trail are quite steep and challenging. For Walk of the Gods and beyond, use our Positano trip itinerary site to get the most from your Positano vacation.
