Take a relaxing walk through the surrounding gardens and parks, especially stunning during cherry blossom season. • It is an iron plate, but I think that Nagoya Castle cannot be removed if it is sightseeing. There is a charge for admission, but I don't think it will hurt to look at it once.

  • More than just a castle, also a Palace and a garden. You could easily spend a couple of hours here. Accessible on the Me~guru sightseeing bus which starts at Nagoya train station and includes other major attractions on the same loop. Get the all day ticket so you can hop on and hop off at each attraction.
  • A decent evening can be spent here here. At least for couple for hours. The main building is closed for renovations but never the less the outside of the castle is worth taking a pics with. Entrance is a mere 500yen, the place is huge, really huge, and excellently kept and maintained. Shows and performances are often going on, shade and vending machines are easy to find. The garden and tea house are lovely, the castle itself is just beautiful. Great site! Plan for one half of day for this place. They have kept the rooms and dresses wore by the earlier king in a decent way.
