Souk Sharq, Kuwait City

#5 of 39 in Shopping in Kuwait
Shopping Mall · Shopping
Set on a seafront promenade, Souk Sharq started as an open-air market and went on to become one of the major shopping malls in Kuwait. The mall offers a combination of international chain stores, classy boutiques, and trendy designer shops, as well as restaurants and cafes with a sea view. Entertainment options include movie theaters, an amusement park, and a central plaza that features live performances and exhibits. The intriguing 5.5 m (18 ft) tall structure on the ground floor, serving as a water-clock and a thermometer, was designed by French physicist Professor Bernard Gitton. • This feels more local than global mall, which is good thing. Fish market is next to this and it is nice to visit it as well. Supermarket, shops and restaurants. You find all you need.  more »
  • It's one of the first malls in Kuwait...the shops in it are a bit different to the rest, the sultan in it is amazing, now that the weather is getting better the outdoors is simply awesome! It has its own vibe. Its not on trend or the trendy crowd...but thats probably why i like it so much! I can shop in peace and find what i like but have enough around me to know the place is alive and kicking.
  • Comparing to new malls in Kuwait this one is a little old , so you will find it less crowded in weekdays ... however in weekends they are all the same the earlier you go the better ... as early as 5 pm cause usually people will start going on like 7 or 8 ... you don’t wanna waste your time looking for a parking if you drive
