Pouring over wide multi-level curved limestone rock formations among trees, Tad Sae Waterfall produce a silky canopy-like effect of dispersed water falling with a constant roar. The water reaches the falls through a moss-covered forest with trees growing straight out of the rock, forming several terraced pools. Take an elephant ride and join the local youngsters for a dip in an emerald-green pond, or walk the boardwalk to reach a wooden observation deck. Thatched huts next the falls provide boat rides. The falls' volume varies quite a bit, with the most dramatic time during rainy season between July and February. For travelers who use our custom trip planner, Luang Prabang holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Tad Sae Waterfall and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

Tad Sae Waterfall Reviews
De waterval op zich is prachtig, wel iets minder indrukwekkend dan de Kuang Si waterval. De Tad Sae waterval is echter zo toeristisch uitgebuit dat ik het niets meer vond. het is volledig omringd door... more »The waterfall in itself is beautiful, quite a bit less impressive than the Kuang Si waterfall. However, the Tad Sae waterfall is so touristy that I found it nothing more. It is completely surrounded by wooden terraces, restaurants, bridges and zipline platforms. In addition, elephant rides are still offered by the waterfalls, this form of animal cruelty is no longer this time!! Handy to know is also that you have to cross a boat a river before you get to the park.
Beautiful! You shouldn't miss this. Take a bathing suit with and jump into the amazing blue water! We kayaked down the river to and from the waterfall - was fun but hard work.. more »
It's a must see in any season. Eye popping color and calming sounds of water. You can swim, I did, though it is cold. Many people but it's a large area so it's not a problem.
Several nice waterfalls in a national park. In some pools it is possible to swim. Attention: This does not mean that the water is hot - it is rather fresh.
