  • We have recommended this museum at breakfast as absolutely worth seeing - and that's it! We travel a lot, but we have never seen such a collection! The variety of colours and shapes of the rocks is indescribable, one does not get out of the amazement that nature itself produces. There are very good explanations, also an interesting comic about the origin of fossils. A recommendation also for non-geologically interested and families. The staff is very attentive and has pointed out special features and treasures to us and has noticed that we get along with the brochure and the film start time, thank you! For planning: from 1 pm to 2 pm is lunch break.

  • Wow - what a collection! I definitely wasn’t expecting something so impressive from such a modest entrance to the exhibition. The specimens are beautifully displayed and the lighting really highlights their uniqueness and brilliance! Super impressive and definitely worth a visit if you’re in Beirut and a bit of a geek 🤓
  • My host in Beirut recommended a visit to the MIM after the nearby National Museum. Wow! I am glad I had time. What a stunning collection or minerals from around the world. This once private collection is now on display for all of us to experience. I have a new appreciation for geology after seeing this. It is a very unique museum and added to my glowing impression of Beirut.
