  • Survived along with the barbs of Kabaw and Gasr El Hag remains one of the largest and oldest fortified Berber warehouses, memory of the Imazighen Berbers of Libya. Perched on a rocky spur of the Gebel Nefusa high 630m dominates the ancient Berber village, now in ruins, appearing from afar as a fortress. A mandatory stop on the way to Ghadames, a Unesco site differs from the other barns for its cells (Ghorfas) stacked on five floors carved in the narrow streets. Inhabited until almost the years 50 was one of the themes of the photographic exhibition on Libya "Dall'Wadi All'wadi" (Rome 1996) set on a river Itnieraio (Wadi) that plunder the valley below Repriena today in its dimension of space and time the thread of Ariadne To follow the silent path of this millennial land and for this reason should not be seen, en passant, as many tourists do in search of non-existent souvenirs. It should be visited possibly during the Mhaarajan (festival) where there are performances of Berber knights, dances of Tuaregh, folkloristic competitions. Do not forget to visit the old Alal ' a rebuilt mosque in 1312 and the Dinosaur Museum. Several visits last 2012.
