A large palm tree-lined public square, Place des Nations Unies represents the place where the old and new town meet. One of the largest squares in the city, the place has a tram station, a souk, a cinema, several restaurants, luxury hotels, cafés, shops, pubs, banks, and many offices. Built in the 1970s, the square is known as the Kora Ardia by the locals which means the "Planet Earth square." A tall clock tower and globe-like metal sculpture are landmarks of the square. With the upcoming opening of the grand theatre, near the United Nations Square, the city of Casablanca will certainly see a large influx of locals as well as foreign tourists. A place to visit.
I don’t see why this is marked as a tourist attraction. It’s true that there are a lot of food, cafe and other tourist attractions surrounding. But in fact this point is nothing. And to be frank there is not too many things to see in Casablanca
Great place to have fun and enjoy the activities of the people in Casablanca. There was some bands playing music but i think that they got banned from playing music and that unfortunately made the square less interesting.
