Banos Termales, Aguas Calientes

#3 of 10 in Spas in Machu Picchu
Banos Termales, near Machu Picchu, features thermal baths that may help reinvigorate you and relax your muscles after a long day of walking. The small, concrete pools get their warm water from underground hot springs and are reportedly good for those with rheumatism, skin diseases, high blood pressure, and other ailments. The thermal water coming in from the springs is unfiltered, so be prepared for the strong, natural smell of sulfur and other beneficial minerals. Concrete pools are more industrial, as opposed to thermal springs in a natural setting, which is offputting to some. • Great place to visit, definitely worth coming again. Highly recommend if your in Aguascalientes. The water is soothing, especially after the hike in Machu Pichu. Definitely recommend you wear sunscreen, as the sun will burn you. Other than that, awesome!
  • It's worth every penny !! $20 Sol ... Perfect before and after the mountain
