See what peasant life was like hundreds of years ago at Muzeul National al Satului "Dimitrie Gusti". The open-air site, founded on the shores of a lake in 1936, exhibits nearly 300 structures of rural architecture brought from Romania's historical regions. Walk among steep-roofed peasant homes, farmsteads, log cabins, thatched barns, windmills, and water mills. Take time to visit the steep belfry of the wooden church, the earth houses, and the carved entrances of the 18th-century houses from Berbeşti. Amenities include a souvenir shop selling folk arts and crafts, a stall with traditional Romanian sweets and cakes, and a restaurant set in an original 19th-century inn. Call in advance for guided tours, which are available in English, French, Spanish, Italian, and Russian. Muzeul National al Satului "Dimitrie Gusti" Reviews
המוזיאון הכפרי נמצא בפארק הרסטראו, מוזיאון גדול ומרשים עם המון ממצאים. משתרע על שטח גדול מאוד בפארק הכניסה לא יקרה ושווה ביקור. המוזיאון מציג מספר גדול מאוד של מבנים ישנים כאשר רובם בעצם פורקו מהמקום ... more »The Rustic museum is located in the Rastafou Park, a large and impressive museum with lots of finds. Stretches on a very large area in the park and the entrance will not be worth a visit. The museum presents a very large number of old buildings when most of them actually dismantled from where they were and the beams were counted to be re-introduced in the museum just the way it was. The museum presents the buildings according to different regions of Romania from the south to the north of all the different regions of the country and shows the difference between life and area. A large part of the open houses are furnished and designed as it was. There are also non-residential buildings like various wind stations from different periods and different use, an ancient church and a palace. There are also various agricultural buildings and a restaurant for those who want a break while wandering around. There is no time limit and in fact it is possible to even walk out of the museum area and a fireplace to return again. The ticket is good for the whole day. The place is very guarded and well-tended and friendly. Recommended

It's OK to take a walk in the houses but there is no information in general. With good weather it's a nice walk and you take advantage of the park next door. The price of the entrance is also rather symbolic, about €4 per adult
The best place I visited while being in Bucharest. Truly scenic place. The whole concept is unique and the traditional houses very nicely built and restored. It is worth the visit. The entrance fee is reasonable and as far as European university students are concerned it is even lower. The map is really useful. Be prepared for a 3 to 4 hour stroll, so it is advised to chose a warm sunny day and comfortable shoes!
The best place to see more Romanian houses from many corners of the country, you can find here houses, mills, churches, windmills and animal shelters from all regions of Romania and they even have some animals here to recreate the rural atmosphere. In my opinion it is the greatest museum of Romania. Also they have all sorts of events during the year, and it is worth visiting.
