Zeelandia Beach, St. Eustatius

#4 of 6 in Outdoors in St. Eustatius
Step onto the protected sands of Zeelandia Beach, a rugged and natural shore, bordered by craggy cliffs and overlooked by a large and dramatic mountain. Though this spot isn't suitable for swimming due to strong currents, it's ideal for hiking and observing the drama of the ocean. This remote 3 km (2 mi) beach is also a favored location for many species of nesting turtles, so be sure to pick up any litter before you leave. • Beautiful beach but that day covered with seaweed and rough seas. It's the ocean and the winds. It seems that this is a beach we just took the turtles but we saw no attention to the nest and eggs

  • There is nothing else the sea and the wind! One of the rare beach of the island, it is deserted and not maintained.... It is the Kingdom of sargasses.... Beware of bathing.... It's rolling hard!
