Jakarta, Indonesia to Queenstown is an approximately 14.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of train and flight. With its history proudly stemming from the Scottish settlers who came here during the colonial era, Dunedin's streets are lined with well-preserved examples of Victorian and Edwardian architecture, while a new culture of nightlife and fine dining takes hold around them.
Kick off your visit on the 19th (Thu): stroll through Tunnel Beach Track, then steep yourself in history at Olveston Historic Home, then engage your brain at Otago Museum, and finally look for all kinds of wild species at Penguin Place. On your second day here, identify plant and animal life at Orokonui Ecosanctuary, then admire the natural beauty at Dunedin Botanic Garden, and then sample the tasty concoctions at Speight’s Brewery.

Traveling by car from Queenstown to Dunedin takes 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. Finish your sightseeing early on the 20th (Fri) so you can travel to Rotorua.

Explore hidden gems such as Waimangu Volcanic Valley and Redwoods Treewalk. Take a break from the city and head to Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland and Mt Maunganui Main Beach. Traveling by flight from Dunedin to Rotorua takes 6.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of flight and bus; or do a combination of bus and flight. In March, daily temperatures in Rotorua can reach 26°C, while at night they dip to 18°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 23rd (Mon) early enough to travel to Paihia.

The main tourist town in the Bay of Islands area, Paihia gives visitors a good range of accommodations, a convenient town center, long sandy beaches, and interesting architecture.
Start off your visit on the 24th (Tue): admire the striking features of The Stone Store & Kemp House - Kerikeri Mission Station, admire the sheer force of Rainbow Falls, then discover the deep blue sea with a scuba or snorkeling tour, and finally look for all kinds of wild species at Paihia Harbour. On the 25th (Wed), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: contemplate the long history of Waitangi Treaty Grounds, then contemplate the long history of Pompallier Mission and Printery, and then see majestic marine mammals with a dolphin and whale watching tour.
