Piran

Considered one of the prettiest cities on the country's coast, Piran owes much of its development to salt.
You'll discover tucked-away gems like Portorož Beach and Svetilnik Beach. We've included these beaches for you: Strunjan Nature Reserve and Zusterna Beach. Change things up with a short trip to Škocjan Caves in Škocjan (about 44 minutes away). There's still lots to do: don't miss a visit to Tartini Square, discover the deep blue sea with a scuba or snorkeling tour, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Koper Cathedral and Bell Tower, and take in the spiritual surroundings of St. George's Church.
