Often referred to as "The Paris of the North," Riga offers thriving nightlife and some of the best collections of Art Nouveau architecture in Europe.
Kick off your visit on the 30th (Thu): make a trip to Riga Town Hall Square, then stop by Old City Riga (Vecriga), then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at St. Peter's Church, and finally get a dose of the wild on Twenty Five Wolves. On the 31st (Fri), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Riga Cathedral, steep yourself in history at House of the Black Heads, contemplate the long history of Latvian Ethnographic Open Air Museum, then contemplate the long history of Salaspils Memorial Ensemble, and finally pause for some serene contemplation at Nativity of Christ Cathedral.
