Toronto, Canada to Rotorua is an approximately 25-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and bus; or do a combination of shuttle and flight. The time zone changes from Eastern Standard Time (EST) to New Zealand Standard Time (NZST), which is usually a 17 hour difference. Prepare for much hotter weather when traveling from Toronto in February: high temperatures in Rotorua hover around 28°C and lows are around 19°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 6th (Thu) to allow time to travel to Queenstown.

Traveling by flight from Rotorua to Queenstown takes 5.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of bus and flight; or do a combination of car and ferry. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 9th (Sun) early enough to drive to Dunedin.

With its history proudly stemming from the Scottish settlers who came here during the colonial era, Dunedin's streets are lined with well-preserved examples of Victorian and Edwardian architecture, while a new culture of nightlife and fine dining takes hold around them.
On the 10th (Mon), trek along Tunnel Beach Track, steep yourself in history at Olveston Historic Home, then get curious at Otago Museum, and finally identify plant and animal life at Penguin Place. On your second day here, sample the tasty concoctions at Speight’s Brewery, browse the exhibits of Dunedin Public Art Gallery, then look for all kinds of wild species at Orokonui Ecosanctuary, and finally admire the natural beauty at Dunedin Botanic Garden.

Traveling by car from Queenstown to Dunedin takes 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. Finish your sightseeing early on the 11th (Tue) to allow enough time to travel to Paihia.

The main tourist town in the Bay of Islands area, Paihia gives visitors a good range of accommodations, a convenient town center, long sandy beaches, and interesting architecture.
Get a sense of the local culture at Waitangi Treaty Grounds and Byrne Northland Wines. Visiting Paihia Harbour and Tane Mahuta Walk will get you outdoors. There's lots more to do: get interesting insight from Tours, admire the sheer force of Rainbow Falls, surround yourself with nature on a nature and wildlife tour, and discover the deep blue sea with a scuba or snorkeling tour.
