The main town on the largest of Korea's islands, Jeju has a volcanic landscape protected by UNESCO.
Go for a jaunt from Jeju to Seogwipo to see Seongsan Ilchulbong about 1h 20 min away. There's much more to do: explore the fascinating underground world of Manjanggul Cave, step off the mainland to explore Udo, find something for the whole family at Hallim Park, and explore the striking landscape of Halla Mountain.

Lagos, Nigeria to Jeju is an approximately 30-hour flight. The time zone changes from Western African Time to Korea Standard Time, which is usually an 8 hour difference. Expect little chillier weather when traveling from Lagos in September: highs in Jeju hover around 30°C, while lows dip to 26°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 13th (Fri) to allow time to travel to Busan.

The country's second city, Busan has often been referred to as South Korea's summer capital.
On the 14th (Sat), don't miss a visit to Gwangandaegyo Bridge, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Haedong Yonggung Temple, then enjoy the sand and surf at Haeundae Beach, and finally enjoy the sand and surf at Gwangalli Beach. On the 15th (Sun), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: enjoy the sea views from Yeongdo Lighthouse, get great views at Taejongdae, stroll around Yongdusan Park, then hunt for treasures at Jagalchi Market, and finally contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Beomeosa Temple.

Traveling by flight from Jeju to Busan takes 3 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of flight and train; or do a combination of ferry and car. Traveling from Jeju in September, Busan is a bit cooler at night with lows of 21°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 15th (Sun) to allow time to drive to Gyeongju.

Traveling by car from Busan to Gyeongju takes 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or take a bus. When traveling from Busan in September, plan for slightly colder days in Gyeongju, with highs around 25°C, while nights are about the same with lows around 20°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 16th (Mon) to allow time to drive to Sokcho.
