Situated at the meeting point of the White and Blue Niles, the sprawling capital Khartoum captivates with its welcoming atmosphere, chaotic marketplaces, and extravagant skyline punctuated with glass towers.
Change things up with a short trip to Khalifa House Museum in Omdurman (about 36 minutes away). There's lots more to do: examine the collection at Sudan National Museum, explore the different monuments and memorials at Khartoum War Cemetery, admire the striking features of Presidential Palace, and contemplate the long history of Naga: Temple of Amun.
