After decades of conflict, Luanda experienced a massive economic boom at the beginning of the 21st century, making it one of the most developed cities in Africa and a magnet for tourists.
Pack the 7th (Sun) with family-friendly diversions at ULENGO. Next up on the itinerary: browse the exhibits of Fortaleza de Sao Miguel, step off the mainland to explore Ilha do Mussulo, get outside with Sangano Beach, and explore the landscape on two wheels at Avenida 4 de Fevereiro.

Lubango is the capital city of the Angolan province of Huíla. Kick off your visit on the 10th (Wed): take in the dramatic natural features at Tundavala. Keep things going the next day: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Christ the King Statue and then get outside with Serra da Leba.

Muxima is a town and commune in the municipality of Quiçama, Luanda Province, Angola. Spend the 12th (Fri) exploring nature at Parque Nacional da Quiçama. There's more to do: witness the site of a historic battle at Fortress of Muxima and contemplate the waterfront views at Kwanza River.
