As the capital and largest city of Belarus, Minsk represents a cultural center full of churches, libraries, museums, and theatres.
Step off the beaten path and head to Berezina Biosphere Reserve and Chelyuskinites Park. Get out of town with these interesting Minsk side-trips: Mir (Mir Castle & Chapel and Burial Vault Svyatopolk-Mirskikh) and Airplane Monument Partisan Airfield Il-14T (in Begoml). There's still lots to do: browse the collection at National Library of Belarus, make a trip to Victory Square, learn about all things military at Belarusian State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War, and examine the collection at Museum Strana Mini.

Stockholm, Sweden to Minsk is an approximately 5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train; or do a combination of ferry and car. You'll lose 2 hours traveling from Stockholm to Minsk due to the time zone difference. A sharp contrast to the capital of Minsk, Brest is a city filled with fortress ruins, old culture, and medieval history.
You'll discover tucked-away gems like Gogolya Street and Bison on Route Brest - Minsk. Step out of Brest to go to Kamianiuki and see Bielaviežskaja pušča National Park, which is approximately 58 minutes away. There's still lots to do: learn about all things military at Memorial Complex Brest Hero-Fortress, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at St. Nicholas Cathedral, examine the collection at War Museum - Territory of the World, and don't miss a visit to Brest Railway Station Building.
