If you are flying in from India, the closest major airports are Leonardo da Vinci–Fiumicino Airport and Ciampino–G. B. Pastine International Airport. In October in Rome, expect temperatures between 26°C during the day and 15°C at night. You will have some time to spend on the 23rd (Wed) before leaving for Sorrento.

You can do a combination of train and subway from Rome to Sorrento in 3 hours. Other options are to drive; or take a bus. Plan for somewhat warmer nights when traveling from Rome in October since evenings lows in Sorrento dip to 20°C. You'll have a few hours on the 26th (Sat) to wrap things up before traveling to Florence.

Traveling by combination of subway and train from Sorrento to Florence takes 4.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of subway, train, and flight. Traveling from Sorrento in October, plan for slightly colder nights in Florence, with lows around 14°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 30th (Wed) early enough to catch the train to Como.
