Bayda, or Elbeida , is a commercial and industrial city in eastern Libya. Darnah and City of Cyrene are good opportunities to explore the local culture. When in Al Bayda, make a side trip to see Apollonia in Susah, approximately 36 minutes away.

Benghazi is the second most populous city in Libya and the largest in Cyrenaica.A port on the Mediterranean Sea in the Kingdom of Libya, Benghazi had joint-capital status alongside Tripoli, possibly because the King and the Senussi royal family were associated with Cyrenaica rather than Tripolitania. Satisfy your inner culture vulture at Omar Al-Mukhtar Mosque and Atiq Mosque. Visit Ptolemais and Benghazi Cathedral for their historical value. There's more to do: stroll through Jebel Akhdar.
