Built on sugar and seemingly preserved in molasses, the town of Trinidad attracts visitors with its well-aged 19th century architecture and rustic charm, showcasing the sounds, scents, and sights of days gone by.
Step out of the city life by going to Ancon Beach and Topes de Collantes. Museum-lovers will get to explore Museo de Historia Municipal and Colonial Architecture Museum. Get out of town with these interesting Trinidad side-trips: Cienfuegos (El Nicho Waterfalls, Jagua Castle, &more) and Santa Clara (Monumento a la Toma del Tren Blindado, Museo de Artes Decorativas, &more). The adventure continues: steep yourself in history at Valle de los Ingenios, take in the dramatic scenery at Salto del Caburni, take in the spiritual surroundings of Convento de San Francisco de Asis, and view the masterpieces at Galerie D'Art Calleyro.
