Kick off your visit on the 26th (Thu): step into the grandiose world of Edinburgh Castle, then brush up on your knowledge of spirits at The Scotch Whisky Experience, then don't miss a visit to The Royal Mile, and finally steep yourself in history at The Real Mary King's Close. On the 27th (Fri), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: see the interesting displays at Royal Yacht Britannia, then examine the collection at National Museum of Scotland, and then explore the striking landscape at Arthur's Seat.

Yangon (Rangoon), Myanmar to Edinburgh is an approximately 17.5-hour combination of flight and train. You can also fly. The time zone difference moving from Myanmar Time (MMT) to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) is minus 6 hours. In September, plan for daily highs up to 19°C, and evening lows to 9°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 28th (Sat) early enough to catch the train to York.

Situated on the confluence of the rivers Ouse and Foss, York has witnessed an abundance of major political events throughout its two millennia of existence.
Step out of York to go to Durham and see Durham Cathedral, which is approximately 1h 30 min away. There's still lots to do: see the interesting displays at National Railway Museum, step into the grandiose world of Castle Howard, get your game on at The York Dungeon, and contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Holy Trinity Church.

Take a train from Edinburgh to York in 3 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of flight and train. In September, daily temperatures in York can reach 20°C, while at night they dip to 10°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 30th (Mon) to allow enough time to drive to Oxenhope.
