A beautiful and romantic city fit for any itinerary, Paris brims with historic associations and remains vastly influential in the realms of culture, art, fashion, food and design.Get a sense of the local culture at Palace of Versailles and Louvre Museum. You'll explore and learn at Musee d'Orsay and Centre National d'Art et de Culture George Pompidou. Sydney, Australia to Paris is an approximately 27-hour flight. You can also do a combination of flight and train. The time zone changes from Australian Eastern Standard Time (New South Wales) to Central European Time, which is usually a -9 hour difference. An ancient town center surrounded by medieval ramparts, Avignon is a major city of Provence and a Mediterranean city in the Vaucluse department on the left bank of the Rhône River.Get some historical perspective at Palais des Papes and Abbaye Notre-Dame de Senanque. Get a sense of the local culture at Carrieres des Lumieres and Site Archeologique de Glanum. Explore Avignon's surroundings by going to Les Antiques (in Saint-Remy-de-Provence) and Atelier et Musee du Santon (in Collobrieres). Do a combination of flight and train from Bayeux to Avignon in 4.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or drive. Traveling from Bayeux in March, expect nights in Avignon to be about the same, around 5°C, while days are a bit warmer, around 18°C.
