Portuguese Rome

Referred to as the Portuguese Rome for its number churches, Braga represents an old town that today is the country's third-largest city. Situated in northwest Portugal, Braga boasts many narrow pedestrian streets, plazas, and spiritual pilgrimage destinations.
Your day by day itinerary now includes Jardim de Santa Barbara as well as Praca da Republica. Kick off your visit on the 16th (Sat): stroll through Praca da Republica, then take some stellar pictures from Elevador do Bom Jesus do Monte, then don't miss a visit to Centro Historico de Guimaraes, and finally explore the historical opulence of Guimaraes Castle. Keep things going the next day: take in nature's colorful creations at Jardim de Santa Barbara, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Se de Braga, and then snap pictures at Ponte Romana.
