You might consider the city of Budapest, divided by the Danube River into two distinctive cities--Buda and Pest--to be essentially one large World Heritage Site.
Budapest is known for historic sites, spas, and nightlife. Your plan includes some of its best attractions: get a sense of history and politics at Hungarian Parliament Building, steep yourself in history at Dohány Street Synagogue, take in the architecture and atmosphere at St. Stephen's Basilica (Szent Istvan Bazilika), and test the waters at a local thermal spa.

To find photos, reviews, maps, and tourist information, you can read our Budapest driving holiday planner.

Expect a daytime high around °C in April, and nighttime lows around °C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 2nd (Thu) so you can travel back home.
