Pearl of the Danube

You might consider the city of Budapest, divided by the Danube River into two distinctive cities--Buda and Pest--to be essentially one large World Heritage Site.
Budapest is known for historic sites, spas, and nightlife. Your plan includes some of its best attractions: get a sense of history and politics at Hungarian Parliament Building, appreciate the history behind Heroes' Square, steep yourself in history at Dohány Street Synagogue, and test the waters at a local thermal spa.

To find photos, reviews, maps, and tourist information, you can read our Budapest driving holiday planner.

Expect a daytime high around 20°C in April, and nighttime lows around 5°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 2nd (Thu) so you can travel back home.
