Pearl of the Danube

You might consider the city of Budapest, divided by the Danube River into two distinctive cities--Buda and Pest--to be essentially one large World Heritage Site.
Budapest is known for historic sites, spas, and nightlife. Your trip includes some of its best attractions: admire the landmark architecture of Hungarian Parliament Building, contemplate the long history of Fisherman's Bastion, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Matthias Church, and pause for some serene contemplation at St. Stephen's Basilica (Szent Istvan Bazilika).

If you are flying in from Germany, the closest major aiport is Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport. In November, plan for daily highs up to 11°C, and evening lows to 2°C.
