Pearl of the Danube

You might consider the city of Budapest, divided by the Danube River into two distinctive cities--Buda and Pest--to be essentially one large World Heritage Site.
You'll discover tucked-away gems like Margaret Island and Hospital in the Rock Nuclear Bunker Museum. Pamper yourself for a day on the 22nd (Thu) at some of the top local wellness centers. There's still lots to do: get a sense of history and politics at Hungarian Parliament Building, don't miss a visit to Fisherman's Bastion, savor the flavors at Central Market Hall, and contemplate the long history of Dohány Street Synagogue.

For other places to visit, where to stay, and tourist information, you can read our Budapest vacation maker website.

If you are flying in from United Kingdom, the closest major aiport is Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport. Expect a daytime high around 11°C in November, and nighttime lows around 2°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 22nd (Thu) to allow time to travel back home.
