Pearl of the Danube

You might consider the city of Budapest, divided by the Danube River into two distinctive cities--Buda and Pest--to be essentially one large World Heritage Site.
Take a break from the city and head to Kayaking & Canoeing and Priest's Island (Pap-sziget). Explore hidden gems such as Wine Tours & Tastings and Liberty Bridge (Szabadsag hid). There's much more to do: look for gifts at Book Cafe - Lotz Terem, wander the streets of Vaci Street, get a taste of the local shopping with Andrassy Avenue, and admire the striking features of Vajdahunyad Castle (Vajdahunyadvar).

To see where to stay, more things to do, traveler tips, and tourist information, refer to the Budapest holiday maker app.

If you are flying in from Austria, the closest major aiport is Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport. Expect a daytime high around 33°C in July, and nighttime lows around 18°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 1st (Tue) so you can travel back home.
