Harrachov is a town in Semily District, Liberec Region, in the northern Czech Republic, close to the border with Poland.GeographyIt is situated on the Mumlava River, a left tributary of the Jizera within the Krkonoše mountain range of the Sudetes, whose crest forms the Czech-Polish border near the Elbe river's source.Located about 700m above sea level, Harrachov is one of the most popular Czech ski resorts including the internationally used Čerťák ski jumping hill (including flying hill); several winter sport events take place in Harrachov regularly. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Harrachov: Sedlec Ossuary (in Sedlec), Terezin (Památník Terezín - Národní hřbitov, Památník Terezín - Malá pevnost, & more) and Kutna Hora (Ossuary / The Cemetery Church, Corpus Christi Chapel, & more). Pack the 13th (Sun) with family-friendly diversions at iQLANDIA. On the 26th (Sat), spend an exhilarating day on the slopes at Skiareal Harrachov - Krkonose. There's lots more to do: admire the sheer force of Mumlava Waterfall, take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Adrspach-Teplice Rocks, examine the collection at Glassworks and microbrewery Novosad & son Harrachov, and get great views at Jested.

To see photos, ratings, more things to do, and tourist information, go to the Harrachov attractions site .

Expect a daytime high around 1°C in January, and nighttime lows around -5°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 7th (Thu) early enough to travel back home.
