Kick off your visit on the 19th (Mon): steep yourself in history at Moscow Kremlin, get engrossed in the history at Armoury Chamber, and then stroll the grounds of Tserkov' Uspeniya Presvyatoy Bogoroditsy V Novodevich'yem Monastyre. On your second day here, contemplate the long history of Lenin's Mausoleum, explore the world behind art at State Tretyakov Gallery, then pause for some serene contemplation at Saint Basil's Cathedral, and finally steep yourself in history at Red Square.
