I went with my family a few weeks back (I'm 16 fem, an 18yr old brother, and both of my parents) and I have to say I prefer museums over anything like six flags or SeaWorld. If you or anyone in your family has a fascination for dinosaurs, GO!!! The exhibit is gorgeous and even if you aren't being toured the staff will talk to you and your family. There are many beautiful areas to visit that you don't need to pay extra for, my family was probably there for three hours looking at everything. I'm not sure this is quite the place for younger children; unless they have an appreciation for pieces of history and life not much more will keep them entertained than a few minutes in most of the exhibits; if you can manage to go without the little ones I really suggest it! Being able to look at everything and just appreciate it is the best part of the experience! If going alone I'd suggest to bring a pair of headphones to really get an ambience while you look around. I'd also suggest to being a cooler and leave it in your car so you won't have to A. Have to pay for McDonald's or something at a museum, and B. You won't have to leave and lose your parking space!!! There are plenty of shady areas by the museum to settle and have a nice lunch, and it's nice to have a little break to sit and get fresh air! The bathrooms were very clean and I never had to wait or search hard to find one. This was a great experience and I'd love to visit again with my family or some friends! If you think even a little that you'll like visiting, I can promise you will!

What an absolutely incredible museum - it is so extensive and informative you could spend all day there learning and getting some amazing photos. The "Death by Natural Causes" exhibit is a must visit while it's there because it's hilarious, informative and frightening! I can't wait to go back and see this museum again.
