Dedicated to a hero who defeated an army of 300,000 Mongol warriors, Ngoc Son Temple rests on a small jade islet on Hoan Kiem Lake. To get here, you'll cross a red wooden bridge known as the "Flood of Morning Sunlight." Once you pass the two stone gateways and enter the main hall, you can burn incense sticks at the large bronze brazier, and afterwards visit the pavilion and altars dedicated to scholars and deities. The ornate altar dedicated to the hero Tran Hung Dao stands behind the scholars' shrines, along with a room that holds a cast of the lake's giant tortoise. A very beautiful temple and has a very beautiful location. You feel like you are on island when you visit there. You have to cross a bridge on the lake and then reach this temple which itself is very exciting. The lake and bridge really looks beautiful in the evening. Definitely go and checkout this temple.
Nice place for a short walk. They have great bonsai trees. The temple is interesting because of its legend and location. The red bridge looks great at night. Although it's a very small place you have to pay an entry fee.
