Dramatically jutting out from an isolated pinnacle, Pulpit Rock Lookout offers sweeping views across cliff edges, forested gorges, and the scenic Grose Valley below. Far removed from the crowded tourist spots in Blue Mountains National Park, the lookout also serves as a great pit stop on a hiking or mountain biking tour, as well as a picnic spot--featuring a rustic hut and few outdoor tables near the parking. • We drove all the way up/out there from Katoomba only to find the road into it was closed. Continued further on into Anvil Rock lookout, which itself was quite speccy.

  • This would be my favoutite of the 3 lookouts along this short stretch of road. The "Pulpit" is a nice foreground to a commanding view over the valley. Easy parking and access, well signposted

  • Not busy like the other lookouts as it's not near any main roads, you drive down a dirt track. Short walk down to the lookout. There are 3 or 4 different platforms where you can enjoy the view from. It is very quiet and serene as you're away from the crowds. So quiet that you can hear waterfalls that you can't even see! You definitely get a leg and butt workout on the way back up to the car. Definitely recommend if you want to take in a stunning view in serenity.
  • Went to visit this amazing spot, due to the recent bushfire this lookout was closed to the public. The road is blocked. I still managed to send the drone over for a look and wow! I can't wait to visit this beautiful place and see it in person
