The Hinkler Hall of Aviation is an air museum in Bundaberg, Queensland, Australia focused on the legacy of Australian aviator Bert Hinkler. The museum opened in 2008 alongside the Hinkler House, and was designed to accommodate up to 34,000 visitors per year. The museum's collection includes five aircraft significant to Hinkler's career: a reconstructed glider from his youth, Hinkler's original Avro Baby, a replica Avro Avian, a replica Hinkler Ibis, and a reconstructed de Havilland Puss Moth. The museum also has on display a small wooden piece of an early Hinkler glider that was carried on board the Space Shuttle Challenger and recovered after its breakup in 1986.

  • This is a very good museum, with quite a lot of items in it. The real plane was a plus, and the information very informative. We enjoyed looking at the exhibits.

  • Very interesting museum, we enjoyed learning all about Hinkler's childhood and adventurous life and love of aviation. Enjoyable for all ages with hands on activities and videos to watch. Also includes admission to Hinkler's home from his time living in England which was shipped over to Bundaberg from Southampton UK.
  • This is an interesting museum which shows Hinkler's adventures. If you are visiting Bundaberg, this is one the locations to visit. It has a hugh Globe and amazing planes. They have an interactive Hinkler's plane model where kids can have fun.
