We did the longer walk, about 3kms. It is fairly steep in places, but beautiful to see. Lots of native birds if you look closely and listen. The path has reflective markers every 10 to 15 meters that.... more

We did all three boardwalks in the Daintree, this was our favourite. Just stunning. The boardwalk loop is easy going, about 600m, with some stairs. If you have a bit more time, the long loop is a stunning walk through the rainforest. It is a 3km loop, easy to follow track, medium difficulty due to uneven ground, lots of tree roots, and muddy when raining.

Awesome walk (the non boardwalk) which took us about an hour or so for us, and the boardwalk is quite nice too. We came twice to see cassowaries and SAW A JUVENILE ONE the second day! Keep an eye out for their poo and walk quietly and you might get lucky!
