Walga Rock, Cue

Amazing view and quite remote. Make sure to close the gate whenever you go in or out. Around 30km unsealed road. Lots of flies during the season. I went there alone with my car and I didn’t see anyone. So make sure to inform people you are going here (no signal) and be prepared with enough water. Make sure to check the weather as some part of the road might be hard to cross when it is raining (if you are driving 2wd)

We were not sure should we do the detour from Cue to Walga Rock or not but we had time and the lady from Mt Magnet visitor centre highly recommended the detour. Thanks to her mention of opening the gate we found the entrance as Google maps stops earlier and there is no Signage for the entrance. We couldn't find signage for the way up either but it was to hot anyway. The art gallery was ok, seen it tick, as no interpretive signs and drawings very faded. The Rock is impressive but we have seen Kokerbin Rock and Uluru. In combination with the ghost town of Big Bell it was a good detour overall on unsealed road.
