Constructed of giant blocks, some of which weigh more than 50 tons (100,000 lbs), Esperance Stonehenge is the only astronomically-aligned, full-scale, exact replica of the original Stonehenge in England. Built of pink granite, a local material, the structure was designed to look precisely like the original would have appeared around 2000 BCE. Initially meant to be erected in Margaret River, this stone replica is located near the region’s prized Twilight Beach, in itself a popular tourist attraction. The structure is visible from the road, but set aside some time for a leisurely visit and a unique photo opportunity. I did not believe the locals who said how calming this place was. I walked in and it a few times, and they are correct, you do feel so calm and serene inside this.

Worth stopping in to see Stonehenge. An up close view of what the real Stonehenge would have looked like. Very impressive and imposing. Parking and turning for caravans.

The lady staff member was a credit to the place very informative. While it is not the real one in the UK it was fantastic to see what it was supposed to look like . The fee paid was far less than the UK but you got to walk around the impressive structure. Well worth a visit when here.
