Though a commercial marina, Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour is pretty spectacular in its own right. See where large fishing boats dock and discover what makes the fishing industry tick. The harbor was built in 1919, but remains an important part in the city’s development today. A few years ago, up to 120 fishing boats were housed in the harbor. Be sure to take a look at the boat-lifting facility. What was before a fish market is now a modern tourist precinct, with restaurants and breweries. Art installations floating at the water make for a memorable photo opportunity, as does the statue of Bon Scott, front man of Australian band ACDC.
