Gaze at two spectacular sights from the Esplanade: outer space and Sydney Harbour. The stately stone building with copper domes houses two telescopes, providing views of constellations, the Moon, planets, and nebulae on clear nights. Take an interactive astronomy lesson in the 3-D space theater and enter the planetarium for entertaining education about the universe. And, of course, don't forget to admire the view you'll have over the harbor from the top of the observatory. You can visit for free during the day and pay a small fee for a day-tour.
