The lookout has impressive views of the beaches and Newcastle. From the Lookout you can do the Memorial walkway which is a must. Parking at the lookout is limited however you can park at Bar beach...

Hang gliders takeoff from Strzelecki scenic lookout and fly along the coastal cliff. It’s exciting to watch, however the sheer drop is not for the faint hearted. There are limited parking spaces and disability parking. It’s the entry point for the memorial walk. The view is spectacular but hold on to your hat and child as the wind can be strong. Sir Paul Strzelecki’s work as a geologist explorer in 1840’s helped establish Newcastle as a coal producer.
