Very nice national park (Park Hoge Kempen). Entering the park cost €3 and €5 for a year subscription. It's worthwhile to pay this little amount, there are many trails to follow, short and long. There.... more

One of Belgium’s most breathtaking sceneries! We did the purple hike (9,5km, 200m elevation gain) and it was simply perfect despite the rain. The paths are clean and beautiful. The climbs are quite strong (above all the second one) but the views are fantastic. It really changes from other regions and it’s absolutely worth it! You can start the hike before the opening hours of the tourist reception, which is a great thing, the entry is free and there is free parking 2min away from the start. Furthermore, the hike is really well indicated, you cannot miss any purple sign. Just perfect!

Nice little escape away from the city buz in the heart of nature. Nice cycle around the domaine and superbe view from the top of the coal mine heap. A must to do when the weather is nice.
