Memorial Museum Passchendaele 1917
Housed inside the Zonnebeke mansion, Memorial Museum Passchendaele 1917 pays homage to the half million people who fell in battle on this site in 1917. View the exhibits in the museum showcasing material findings from the Battle of Passchendaele, including uniforms, supplies, and weapons. Take a walk through the recreated trenches and shelter, and discover the personal stories of the men who fought there. There is also an exhibit on the history leading up to the battle and the battle's consequences. When you stand on the quiet battlefield, remember that it is the site of one of the greatest number of losses during World War I. This tragedy is commemorated with a work of art by Helen Pollock made of the clay from the battlefield and displayed in the museum. Purchase your self-guided tour tickets when you arrive at the museum, but book a guided tour by email at least four weeks in advance. Visited a number of WWI museums across France and Belgium, and this one is by far the best. Great experience, especially with the trenches recreated both inside and outside. Excellent range of WWI...

I've always been interested in history and the world wars. But since I've been playing Battlefield 1 recently, that interest has grown even more. It's cool to see how these things look in real life, and then it hits you, this war was brutal. The Museum gives you an excellent look at the past and delivers on all areas. There are trenches and dugouts to walk through, plenty of uniforms and weapons and scattered between all that are some movies of survivors, most of which made my jaw drop.

Wonderful museum. The audio guide system is excellent. The kids also found it very interesting. The reconstructed trenches etc are terrific. Highly recommended.
