Onophrian Fountain
Damaged in a 1667 earthquake, the formerly lavish Onophrian Fountain was modeled by a famous artist from Naples, Onofrio della Cava. Built in 1438, the fountain featured complex ornaments and 16 streams, which you can see today as they flow from the mouths of images along the fountain. This was set in a lovely little open square, right at the entrance on the oopposite side to the marina. The fountain is so distinctive.

Great looking fountain, the best pictures are probably from the walls. Lots of people around all the time. We were lucky as not many people were here in 2021.
