House of Marco Polo features the ruins of a 13th-century Venetian house advertised as being once inhabited by one of the greatest travelers and travel writers of all times. Only four exterior walls remain from the original building. The best part of the house is a loggia on top of the narrow flight of stairs that affords expansive views over the roofs of the old town and coastal islands. The house next door serves as a tiny museum of Marco Polo, with waxwork tableaus, artifacts, and period furnishings.
