Originally established in connection with the construction of Frederiksberg Palace, the park was designed as an English-style landscape garden, complete with winding paths, lakes, large trees, waterfalls, and grottoes. It is now a nice place to have a picnic, hold group gatherings, feed the ducks and swans, or simply take a leisurely walk. Stop by the castle in the middle of the park, or take a boat ride. Be sure to check out the famous "elephant viewpoint," where visitors can often catch glimpses of the elephants at the neighboring zoo. This is an incredible park just a few blocks away from the Frederiksberg metro stop. There are lots of waterfowl and other birds in the park, especially ducklings and gooselings in the spring...

Amazing park! Beautifully laid out with a free viewing area of the elephants from Copenhagen zoo! have well positioned benches with a nice atmosphere. Good for a walk and picnic.

Nice place for a full day picnic, we enjoyed boat ride which is open whole summer only. Must visit place in autumn as well.
