  • This cemetery is quite different from the American and British cemeteries, more sober. The architecture and design, the oak trees, and the tumulus have a gothic or Teutonic feeling.

  • This is a different experience to other war cemeteries in Normandy. There is no exuberant decoration - it’s stark, respectful and real. Graves are identified by a small plaque with five crosses...

  • Interesting contrast to the American cemetery. Good to see if youre looking into all the surrounding ww2 memorials!
  • A very well kept cemetery of the fallen German soldiers during the Second World War. Very informative and rich in history. You get the feeling of lost life here. The 5 black monuments, with one bigger in the middle are graves of the soldiers. Usually, 3-4 were buried under each grave. Very peaceful. It's a recommended visit!
